The success of Chinese drones in the export market in recent years have given Chinese companies the capital and confidence to take on more risky projects.
It is no longer like before, where if the PLA declines to take a project, it is dead. Now the export market offers a very viable alternative avenue.
For a stealthy UCAV, even if it is nowhere close to the capabilities of those operated by the Chinese or Americans, it would still offer a quantum leap from currently available UCAVs on the market.
The likes of Saudi Arab and other Gulf states would be extremely keen to pick this project up, as it will allow them to conduct spying and even strike operations in foreign countries while maintaining plausible deniability.
Even US allies with F35s may find this drone very useful for high risk missions that they don’t want to risk a pilot for.
