Chinese UAV/UCAV development

Sky Hawk stealth UAV. The placard says it's capable of conducting surveillance and strike missions in high-intensity environments. Max take-off weight is 3000 kg.

The stealth UCAV has been fully unveiled. Note the accompanying munitions in the background and to the side...




Both CH-4 and CH-5 now feature a new underbelly radome, presumably housing new sensors.

Another UCAV model...

[Zhuhai 2018] CAAA, a subsidiary of the CASC group, is reported to have conducted an experiment today where two different model UAVs, CH-4 and CH-5, were simultaneously controlled from the same ground station.

Looks like it says WJ-500 in the background to the right. It looks like possibly a CH-3 configuration with a more slender fuselage and pointier nose. I hope we get a better look at that one.

Maybe not WJ-500 because my library of pics has this.

in any case, it makes sense that such concepts are being pursued even if they may not be in applied R&D yet
