No other drone maker makes a comparable product at a comparable price. It is more than just the hardware, the software behind it is robust. A drone like the MAVIC is currently unrivalled, it can be folded up and fits into a pouch rather than needing a specialised carrying case and has the performance of a full sized drone. When folded, the drone has the footprint of a water bottle.

Russian Spetznas with DJI Mavic @2:00

China could eventually develop a portable drone that peeks around obstacles to detect targets and projects that target silhouette and information onto the soldier's augmented reality glasses. Instead of relying upon verbal or gesture coordination, soldiers can open fire immediately after locating the target.

With DJI's civilian drones coming out with more automated features like tracking and route programming, they can eventually produce a drone that seeks out targets autonomously and passively sending back information to the users. One soldier can have multiple drones scanning its surroundings, building a 3D model of the environment within a set distance. With greater varieties of optics, other information can be catalogued like temperature anomalies and changes to detect and highlight activities between scanning cycles. The drone can go search inside buildings and other hard to reach spots. Information will be relayed back to the soldiers passively to present a "x-ray" vision of the environment to reduce the chances of any surprises. With the exterior and interior of an unfamiliar urban area mapped out, software can plan an optimal path and positions. An artillery or airstrike can be called in within an urban environment without the soldiers having achieved direct line of sight with the enemy. It would be useful for counter insurgency and counter-sniper missions.
You did not get the "tariff" part. I was being sarcastic to Trump.;)
