Whoa yeah. I think the one A - mace provided and the two photos shown are probably the same UAV's..
There's the same bulge in the front of the plane and the engine has the same number of rotors..

Similar configuration but if you look at the how the tail fin section is connected to the wings, the fuselage looks like it has more room in between on the new one.

basically, it's called BZK-005 medium to high altitude long endurance unmanned reconnaissance vehicle. It's produced by HAIG (harbin aircraft) and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. It has maximum endurance of greater than 40 hours, cruise speed of 150-180 km/h, maximum altitude of 8000 km, maximum takeoff weight of < 1250 kg and maximum payload of > 150 kg. takeoff distance of < 600 m and landing distance of < 500 m.

This is very comparable to the performance of Predator which also has endurance of around 40 hours and cruise speed of 70 knots, maximum altitutde of 25000 feet, maximum takeoff weight of 1035 kg and payload of 202 kg.

It looks like the original specs were toward matching Predator.

Those specs are quite competitive with the MQ-1.... Even the front of this aircraft looks similar, it seems to have an optics/targeting package underneath the nose, in similar positions.
I wonder if it can carry the AR-1 missile..?

编者按：相比有人操控的飞机，无人机以其极高的性价比，强大的生存能力和机动性能，在军用和民用领域中都扮演着极其重要的角色。十一院作为中国航天科技集团公司无人机产业化发展的牵头单位，坚持自主创新，逐步摆脱了最初“白手起家，摸着石头过河”的境地，现已成为我国无人机高端产品强有力的市场竞争者。该院研制的彩虹-1无人机在2004年以技术合作而非商业谈判的方式，实现了我国无人机批量出口零的突破。目前，该院已经成立了无人机公司，以进一步适应市场竞争的需要。

　　虽然在国外的飞行试验已经过去了3个多月了，但是在中国航天科技集团公司十一院计划部部长王宏伟的眼前，仍不时浮现出那道美丽的“彩虹”。

　　5月17日，一个晴朗的日子，天空中不时有白云飘过。由十一院自主研制的彩虹-3无人机在跑道上静静地等候着，准备进行今年以来的第17次飞行。只要这次试验成功，就意味着该院顺利完成了测试任务。

　　试验场坪上的方舱里，外方操作人员的准备工作已十分娴熟，但中方的试验队员则仍在一旁进行必要的指导。跑道上，摄像人员目不转睛地注视着前方1.5公里处的那道“彩虹”。

　　不一会，随着发动机的启动，“彩虹-3”张开8米长的“双臂”，像雄鹰一样飞向蓝天。很快，飞机便从摄像机镜头中消失了，技术人员则从监视屏中观察着不断变化的飞行数据。半个小时后，它又划出一道优美的弧线，徐徐降落在跑道上，试验成功了。

　　 技术合作 拿下国外第一单

　　试飞任务成功完成，无人机顺利交付用户，上级领导对此给予高度评价，认为这是十一院在无人机产业发展过程中的一个重要里程碑。

　　的确，无论是试验队员在国外的工作时间，还是彩虹-2和彩虹-3无人机的飞行架次、飞行高度、飞行半径、单次飞行时间、起飞重量等，均创下了该院历史纪录。
