And your average civilian drone is going to have a short range and time on station. That said I suspect that ball park owners will own there own drones for telecasts drones would fly and supplement the Goodyear blimp by offering overhead shots of the games.

Gosh. I'm thinking what if terrorists/hijackers on the MH370 used a phone jammer and prevented the passengers from using their handphones to call for help.

Would have needed to. Cell phones operate based on a repeater principle. Your phone has on the screen a number of bars those bars represents the signal between your phone and the cell tower.if there is no cell tower you phone cannot make a call. In MAS370 the plane was over open ocean when she Houdini'ed this means she had no cellular signals.
