《Austrian companies hope to participate in the bidding for Chinese military aircraft》

It seems that the Austrians failed to cooperate with AVIC and finally chose to cooperate with the joint venture of CETC and Wuhu government.

I think it is not taht simple … the point is, that there are three very similar aircraft - the 450, 550 and 750 - with different engines and avionics to speed up the development and so far the biggest issue was, that an AustrIan company is not allowed to bid for an aircraft for the PLA.

It is probably using a Pratt & Whitney engine.
The Russians have the same problem with UTS-800.
Diamond can probably get around the issue of not being a Chinese plane maker by manufacturing the aircraft at its Chinese parent company and charging a license for the design.

This does mean it won't be purchased by the military as a trainer until the lack of Chinese engine issue is solved though. Russia is still developing the VK-800SM engine to solve this.

i just saw this conversation about TA-20 Engine.

This trainer aircraft has indigenous Engine.

This is the only category where AVIC has plenty of domestic options. in last few years AECC worked a lot in this category due to high demand..

AEP-50
AEP-60
AEP-80

all these are production Engines. TA-20 has AEP-50 or AEP-60 turboprop Engine. AEP-60 comes with even FADEC.

these models have officially announced in Zhuhai airshow 2022.
