They have so many small turbofans for moderately large drones. Kinda baffling that they haven’t tackled something for L-15 yet.
If they do not show any concerns, the reason is that if they cannot receive engines from Ukraine, they can turn to the Russian UEC Salyut which produces its own version of that turbofan. Furthermore, based on the basic AI-222-25 engine, they are developing the new SM-100 engine with a 20% increase in thrust and a doubling of the service life which should also be installed on the YAK-130M.

they didn't receive a single shipment from Ukraine since 2022. neither sign any contract with Russia for alternative Engine supply.

but JL-10 Production goes on..

either they have enough stockpile or they have start producing AL-222 at home.
