Using GLM to do this work. I gave it access to the sources I have + link to this thread for it to go over and investigate on the current state of China's semi industry. I think it did okay here. Let me what you think. Check it out.

it's so long ago, I doubt we will get much more competitive details. This is just a rough look at things. I don't want to get too detailed.

Look pretty nice. maybe need to add semiconductor equipment components. Like mass flow controllers, valves, wafer chucks, ceramics, RF generators, Chemical supply equipment and so on

is lobbying the Trump administration for clearance to buy memory chips from ChangXin ‌Memory Technologies, a Chinese company the Pentagon has ‌put on a blacklist, the Financial Times reported on Friday. The iPhone maker has lobbied the White House for approval aimed at easing financial pressure on the company from rising memory chip prices, the newspaper said, citing unnamed sources.

The lobbying push underscores the bind facing major U.S. technology companies as soaring memory chip costs collide with Washington's national security restrictions on Chinese chipmakers. Apple approached the Commerce Department more than a month ago and also engaged other ‌administration officials and allies in Washington, one person told the FT.

Wouldn't it be funny if they succeed just for China to ban then from using Chinese RAM, just like the Nvidia situation.
But maybe that would be too in your face, maybe CXMT should just open a plant in Iran to make Americans do it.

Tuojing Technology: Planning to acquire controlling stake in Wuxi Shangji

Topjing Technology (Piotech), a leading domestic semiconductor equipment manufacturer with a market capitalization exceeding 230 billion yuan, announced plans to acquire a controlling stake in Wuxi Shangji Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. through a combination of share issuance and cash payment. Due to transaction uncertainties, the company’s shares will be suspended from trading starting June 29, 2026, for a period not exceeding ten trading days.

Established in 2021, Wuxi Shangji has rapidly grown into a key supplier of semiconductor thin-film deposition and etching equipment, with core products spanning PVD, CVD, and etching technologies. Backed by prominent state-owned funds and top-tier venture capital firms, the company has demonstrated strong commercial viability: its proprietary vanadium oxide thin film technology once captured an 80% domestic market share, and it has successfully delivered mass-produced 300mm equipment to leading clients for power devices, silicon carbide, MEMS, and RF chips.

For Topjing Technology, this acquisition is a strategic move to fill critical gaps in PVD and etching processes, thereby transforming the company into a comprehensive front-end equipment platform that complements its already dominant PECVD and ALD product lines. This expansion aligns with Topjing’s strong financial performance 2025 revenue surged nearly 59% year-on-year and supports its broader growth ambitions, reinforced by a recent 4.6 billion yuan private placement earmarked for advanced R&D infrastructure.
