Anyone have any experience using Huawei with HMOS?

Thinking of getting a base model just to try it out and use it as a spare phone. Not expecting 100% compatibility but is it actually usable? Heard that they have an apk emulator on the Chinese version nowadays

Daily use HMOS, pretty good , except some apps lack some functionalities, smooth and responsive. Better than Android, from my comparison, even with 9020 , it could achieve better daily use experience than samsung S23u. ( My another phone) . It have fully support of android apps, the apps not from mainland all are in android mode, Eg, google, x etc, all usable.

Using the Mate XT on HMOS 5 and now 6 in Australia as my main phone together with an iphone, most of the international apps is usable via easyaboard including Google apps. I can even use the phone to authenticate my google account log ins from other devices. Since HMOS 6, apps loaded via easyaboard can be used in split screen mode. For contactless payment, I just use Garmin Pay on my watch. For me the only app that is missing is the Authy authentication app which requries a Google certified OS to function.

I've spent a year with my Mate 70 Pro in Germany without issues. The biggest problem is Google Pay, but I managed by just taking my card with me. Easyabroad gets you almost all software, and the rest can be installed with some hacks in DroidTong.

Sirui Intelligent received strategic investment from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) fund, further accelerating the localization of core semiconductor equipment.

According to the National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund (NICIF), the NICIF managed by China Chengtong Fund Management Co., Ltd. recently completed a strategic investment in Qingdao Sirui Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sirui Intelligent"). This investment is an important measure taken by the NICIF to implement the national integrated circuit industry development strategy and accelerate the solution to the "bottleneck" problem of core semiconductor equipment, which will help further promote the localization of semiconductor equipment and strengthen the security of the industrial chain and supply chain.

Sirui Intelligent, a leading enterprise in the core equipment field of semiconductor front-end processes, has achieved remarkable results in the R&D and industrialization of atomic layer deposition (ALD) and ion implantation (IMP) equipment. Its ALD equipment has successfully achieved a "dual transformation" from research-oriented to industrial-oriented equipment, and from non-semiconductor equipment to semiconductor equipment. Sirui Intelligent has established a comprehensive ALD product system, with business covering 40 countries and regions worldwide. It has achieved a leading market competitive position in many niche areas. In particular, in 2023, it achieved the R&D and production of the first 8MeV high-energy ion implanter in China, which has been validated by leading domestic customers. Its technical indicators are comparable to international advanced equipment levels, breaking the long-term monopoly of European and American companies and filling a domestic gap. Currently, Sirui Intelligent has completed the layout and mass production of a full range of ion implanter models, including high-energy ion implanters, high-current ion implanters, medium-current ion implanters, and SiC ion implanters, which are widely used in high-end fields such as CIS, memory, and RF.

On June 27th of this year, the inauguration and commissioning ceremony of Sirui Intelligent Semiconductor Advanced Equipment R&D and Manufacturing Center was held in the Qingdao Free Trade Zone. The center's operation fills a gap in Qingdao's core semiconductor equipment field. The project took only one year from construction to production. The center's official operation signifies that Sirui Intelligent has completed the construction of a complete industrial capability from technology R&D to large-scale mass production, enabling the company to provide industrial support to meet the diverse needs of domestic and international customers.
