DDR4 prices have almost tripled from a year back, even on Taobao. I sure hope for the sake of my server that YMTC or CXMT put some more supply on the market.

With AI increasing the demand for DRAM in general, and while many systems are still running on DDR4, all the major manufacturers have left or are leaving the DDR4 market for DDR5 due to intense competition, and prices are expected to continue to spike unless a player re-enters.
Isn't the recent increase in DRAM prices a little strange? At the end of 2024, due to the influence of cxmt, the price of ddr4 dropped, causing Samsung semiconductors to give up production of ddr4, but cxmt said it would mass-produce ddr5, so the overall price of DRAM is going up. This seems to justify the US ai bubble and speculators are operating to sell stocks before China mass-produces DRAM. The truth is....

In the third quarter, the Company’s revenue was $2,382 million, a sequential increase of 7.8%. Gross
margin was 22.0%, increased by 1.6 percentage points sequentially. The capacity utilization rate was
95.8%, increased by 3.3 percentage points sequentially.

According to the unaudited results, the Company's revenue for the first three quarters reached $6,838
million, up 17.4% comparing to the same period last year. The gross margin was 21.6%, up 5.3
percentage points comparing to the same period last year.

In the fourth quarter, the revenue is expected to be flat to up 2% sequentially. The gross margin is
expected to be in the range of 18% to 20%.

Capacity increased to 454K wpm (12" wafers), it was 440K wpm in Q2, so it is another +14K wpm in one quarter.

In the last 3 quarters, wpm growth has been quite stable at: +8K + 14K + 14K wpm (12" inch wafer equivalent).

the logic fabs are growing revenue so much slower than the memory fabs. At this pace, CXMT might surpass SMIC in revenues in a few years.
Yeah that’s actually a possibility this coming 2/3 years, which is crazy when you think about it. Since SMOC has been the semiconductor flag bearer of China so far.

The Wuxi Peking University EDA Research Institute's project, "Research on Routing Methods and EDA Software Supporting 7nm and Above Ultra-Large Scale Integrated Circuits," has been approved as a provincial major science and technology project!​


Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology issued relevant project approval documents for the 2025 Provincial Major Science and Technology Projects. The Wuxi Peking University Electronic Design Automation Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Peking University EDA Research Institute" or "the Institute") received project support for its project " Research on Routing Methods and EDA Software for 7nm and Above Ultra-Large-Scale Integrated Circuits ." Hesai LiDAR has delivered over 2 million LIDAR units to date, and deliveries are expected to exceed 600,000 units next quarter.​


Hesai Technology has achieved a major milestone by delivering its 2 millionth LiDAR unit in mid-November, becoming the first company globally to reach this volume. Deliveries are expected to exceed 600,000 units in the next quarter, marking a nearly 600-fold increase from five years ago when it delivered around 1,000 units per quarter.

Hesai maintained its leading market position in China’s automotive LiDAR market for eight consecutive months, holding a 47% market share in September 2025, and achieved over 1 million vehicle installations by end-September, with monthly production and deliveries surpassing 200,000 units — a first in the industry.

The company has secured mass production contracts for over 120 vehicle models from 24 OEMs, including Li Auto, Xiaomi, Geely, Changan, Toyota joint ventures, and top European automakers. It also signed full-model ADAS collaborations with its two largest clients, aiming to integrate LiDAR into 100% of their vehicles by 2026.

Driven by the rise of L3 autonomous driving, which requires multiple LiDAR units for safety redundancy, Hesai’s ETX+FTX product line secured its first passenger vehicle mass production deal, targeting launch in late 2026 or early 2027 with a "main radar + blind spot radars" setup.

Hesai is also the preferred LiDAR supplier for nine of the world’s top ten Robotaxi companies, and has gained international orders from Motional and other leading autonomous driving firms across North America, Asia, and Europe. Domestically, it partners with WeRide, Pony.ai, HelloBike, and JD Logistics, with some models set to include up to eight Hesai LiDAR sensors for comprehensive perception coverage.​
