looks like Tencent is going to put in a major order for H20s with Nvidia. I have no idea how this is going through though given the likely upcoming AI chip ban from US govt. Tencent & ByteDance were Nvidia's largest customers from China in 2024.
There's no way trump Administration will let that slide. Especially with AI being a battleground between both countries.

It was also recruited the second most college graduates (most of it for optical engineering positions) in Guandong. I don't think you need that many people to make IGBT test equipment.

5000 employees in 2023. Second highest revenue. Right behind NAURA, ahead of AMEC

They are more a broader products company than a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, the only thing related to semis they sell is equipment parts and testing equipment, so is not an apple to apple comparison.
@tokenanalyst is SiCarrier still the Equipment parts company for Semiconductor Equipment? I'm not so sure but this could be one of the companies which makes parts for SMEs (as well as spare parts I'm assuming for the depreciating equipments in response to leading western firms like ASML, AMAT, LAM removing their after sale service support for maintenance of their tools in the FABS).

Any update on them would be interesting to hear. How about the Cornerstone, Zetop Optics, UEAscend and Tanke Blue, the companies Bloomberg reported in their article a few months ago. Haven't heard about them much since.

The BIT team has made important progress in the regulation of infrared nano-light field propagation

Professor Duan Jiahua, a member of Professor Yao Yugui's team at the School of Physics of Beijing Institute of Technology, collaborated with Professor Pablo Alonso Gonzalez of the University of Oviedo in Spain to publish the research results of "Canalization-based super-resolution imaging using an individual van der Waals thin layer" online in Science Advances. The researchers achieved the non-diffraction propagation of polaritons in a single molybdenum oxide thin layer by precisely controlling the dielectric environment of the polariton material, thus avoiding the complex sample preparation process required for the corner structure. On this basis, they proposed a super-resolution optical imaging scheme based on the non-diffraction propagation of polaritons, with an imaging resolution of 1/220 of the wavelength of the incident light.

Jiangsu has established the first university scientific and technological achievement transformation fund, focusing on direct investment in areas such as third-generation semiconductors

Science and Technology Daily reported that the first university technology achievement transformation fund in Jiangsu Province, Nanjing University Technology Achievement Transformation Angel Fund, recently completed its industrial and commercial registration, marking the start of the pilot construction of Jiangsu Province's strategic emerging industry mother fund to serve the national university regional technology transfer and transformation center. The report pointed out that since the launch of the Jiangsu Province Strategic Emerging Industry Mother Fund in June 2024, it has successively established two batches of eight future industry angel funds with a total scale of 6 billion yuan with five prefecture-level cities to provide innovative capital support for early-stage technology companies.
