AMEC wins first place in two categories in TechInsights 2025 Semiconductor Supplier Awards Survey, with both its technical strength and service strength recognized.​


Shanghai, China, May 15, 2025 - Advanced Micro-Semiconductor Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "AMEC", stock code: 688012) announced that it has won six awards in the 2025 Semiconductor Supplier Awards Survey organized by TechInsights, a global technology analysis and intellectual property service provider, including ranking first in the WFE to Foundation Chip Makers and Deposition Equipment lists.

In addition to winning the highest praise from customers in the above two lists, AMEC also won the following four awards:

I cant beliece AMEC fell for this. Give Techinsights 10,000+ USD and get a "trophy" given at a convention of all "winners" duped into contributing. This has been going on by the company (through its acquisitions) for 30 years, and other companies liek Frost do the same thing. I've seen these Awards in the lobby of semi companies in the U.S. to impress visitors.

AMEC is big and successful enough, that they don't need these awards.
Give them a break bro, they should have received the prestigious BLACKLISTED AWARD by DOD last January until some idiot pull a rag on them. ;) Robbing them the chance to be included in CHINA'S hall of fame among the tech industries.

AlN is also much better substrate material than S or SiC for GaN epitaxy. I see huge Chinese progress in Ga2O3, good progress in diamond and rapid catch-up in AlN

Chengdu Tuowei Hi-Tech: The first equipment of G8.6 generation AMOLED metal mask production line moved in.​


Recently, the "first" equipment of the G8.6 generation AMOLED metal mask production line of Chengdu Tuowei High-tech Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. was officially moved in. Since its establishment in March 2017, Chengdu Tuowei High-tech Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. has focused on the precision regeneration of OLED Mask and components, CMM R&D and manufacturing, FMM R&D and manufacturing, and has quickly become a supplier of display panel manufacturers such as BOE, Tianma Microelectronics, Visionox, and Huaxing Optoelectronics.

As BOE's first domestic G8.6 AMOLED production line started construction in Chengdu, Chengdu Tuowei Hi-Tech Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., as BOE's strategic partner, simultaneously built a G8.6 AMOLED metal mask production line, which will form synergy with BOE's Chengdu G8.6 AMOLED production line.

The move-in of production line equipment indicates that installation and debugging work will be carried out quickly, accelerating the mass production process of the product.

Exploration of electron and ion thermodynamic models in laser-plasma expansion​

Abstract​

The expansion of laser-produced plasma (LPP), an important process to be understood to design the debris mitigation system of an extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light source, is governed by its associated electron and ion thermodynamics, the modeling of which is, however, a subject of debate. By applying the polytropic equation of state (EoS) for both electron and ion, we have derived the hydrodynamic-based self-similar solutions for an expanding plasma slab with finite ion temperature. The effects of electron and ion thermodynamics on plasma expansion and ion acceleration are investigated. We show that the unusual negative-correlation thermodynamic model for electrons in the hydrodynamic description of plasma expansion is an outcome of the interactions between the electrons following a nonequilibrium kappa distribution and the inherent plasma-induced electric field from a kinetic point of view. The comparisons between the self-similar solutions and the recent experiment data reveal that the electron is better characterized by the nonequilibrium kappa-based thermodynamic model with suprathermal population than the common equilibrium Boltzmann one. For thermal-ion expansion, it is found that the polytropic index for ion thermodynamics (γi) is about 2, in contrast to γi = 3 for the adiabatic assumption made in earlier studies.
