AMEC: First-quarter net profit increased by 197% year-on-year.

AMEC (688012.SH) announced that in the first quarter of 2026, it achieved operating revenue of RMB 2.915 billion, a year-on-year increase of 34.13%; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was RMB 930 million, a year-on-year increase of 197.20%.

The change in performance was mainly due to the increase in gross profit of approximately RMB 260 million compared to the previous year, driven by the increase in operating revenue, and the net after-tax gain of approximately RMB 397 million generated from the sale of some of the shares held by Tuojing Technology Co., Ltd. The company has significantly increased shipments of high-end products for key etching processes in advanced logic and memory device manufacturing. In advanced memory device manufacturing processes, more than 300 of the company's independently developed etching machines for ultra-high aspect ratio etching processes have achieved stable and reliable large-scale mass production.

Sembcorp Nano plans to raise 1.206 billion yuan through a private placement to strengthen its semiconductor testing capabilities and AI big data model layout.

On the evening of April 24, Sembcorp Nano (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. released its 2026 plan for issuing A-shares to specific targets, proposing to raise no more than RMB 1.206 billion through private placement, which will be used for the construction of testing bases in multiple locations and the research and development of large-scale semiconductor testing and analysis models.

According to the announcement, after deducting issuance expenses, the funds raised will be primarily invested in four core projects. Specifically, the Qingdao testing and analysis capability enhancement project plans to invest 479 million yuan, the Suzhou headquarters testing and analysis capability enhancement project plans to invest 473 million yuan, the Singapore testing and analysis and R&D center project plans to invest 172 million yuan, and the semiconductor testing and analysis large-scale model R&D platform project plans to invest 82 million yuan, with a total investment of approximately 1.232 billion yuan for the four projects.

As a leading third-party semiconductor testing company in China, Sembcorp Nanotech's main businesses include failure analysis, materials analysis, and reliability analysis, covering the testing needs of 3nm advanced processes and serving more than 2,000 semiconductor industry chain customers worldwide. This private placement is a key measure for the company to deepen its global layout and technological innovation. The construction of two bases in China will improve the service network in the Yangtze River Delta and Bohai Rim regions, while the Singapore base will help expand into the Southeast Asian market and build an international service system.

Raycus Laser: Independent innovating across the entire spectrum of products, and strategic planning for lithography-related light sources

Raycus Laser's 'full-band product series' aims to achieve independent innovation in all levels of fundamental technologies, materials, devices, and light sources, focusing on 'full wavelength, full power, full pulse width, and full application' in the laser field. Among them, the deep ultraviolet nanosecond fiber laser with a wavelength of only 213nm has a maximum average power of 150mW and a single pulse energy exceeding 0.6uJ, playing an important role in advanced application fields such as DUV laser inspection, semiconductor lithography, FBG writing, and spectral analysis. The company attaches great importance to the demand for domestic production of lithography machine light sources and actively develops related technology reserves for lithography supporting light sources.

SpChipADF: An Architecture Design Framework for Radar Signal Processing Hardware Accelerators

Abstract

Lightweight Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have limited space, low payload capacity, and constrained power supply capabilities. Therefore, their payloads are constrained by size, weight, and power (SWaP). Thus, designing edge-side signal processing architectures for the payloads of UAVs faces severe challenges. Traditional ASIC design based on manual optimization struggles to meet the demands of low latency and low resource occupancy in edge-side applications. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a signal processing hardware accelerator architecture design framework with algorithm-hardware co-design. The framework employs a cross-level dataflow graph representation to formally capture task characteristics. Reconfigurable dataflow templates and reusable operator IP components are systematically constructed based on this representation. Through multi-objective design space exploration, the framework achieves Pareto-optimal mapping from algorithmic specifications to hardware implementations. Finally, automatic generation of top-level hardware descriptions enables rapid FPGA-based prototyping and functional validation. Taking synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging as a study example, compared with non-reconfigurable architectures, this scheme reduces the equivalent gate count by 51.4% without increasing processing latency. Compared with a conventional reconfigurable dataflow architecture, the design improves energy efficiency from 12.8 MS/J to 16.0 MS/J, representing a 25.4% enhancement, while also scaling the supported data processing size by a factor of 4×. It provides a high-performance and scalable hardware acceleration solution for lightweight edge-side computing platforms.

boom and the country’s tech self-sufficiency drive. Net profit in the three months ended March 31 jumped 1,153 per cent year on year to 179 million yuan (US$26.2 million), while revenue grew 321 per cent to 355 million yuan, the Shanghai-listed company said in a stock-exchange filing on Monday.

attributed its strong quarterly results to a revenue increase for its continuous-wave laser products and a general rise in demand. It added that it also benefited because data centre products commanded higher gross margins.

Listed in Shanghai in 2022, Yuanjie was the second company on China’s tech-focused Star Market to see its share price surpass the 1,000 yuan threshold, after AI graphics processing unit maker

Not purely semiconductor. But the latest trend for stocks are companies that make optical transceiver modules. These plays a huge role in transceiving data for the data centers and AI. Something like a glue for all this hardware acting together.

The biggest ones are Zhongji Innolight, Eoptolink and TFC Optical. All are listed companies in China that have seen their share price surge in the last two years.

All three will be holding secondary listings in Hong Kong this year.
