Capacity increased to 454K wpm (12" wafers), it was 440K wpm in Q2, so it is another +14K wpm in one quarter.

In the last 3 quarters, wpm growth has been quite stable at: +8K + 14K + 14K wpm (12" inch wafer equivalent).
TSMC revenue per quarter is $33 billion. Compared to that SMIC is at $2.3 billion. The gap is so huge. SMIC is supposed to be the main foundry company for China and they are 15 times behind in revenue. It will probably take 15 years to catch up to TSMC.

TSMC serves the world, SMIC serves basically just China. So it's normal

I guess it doesn't include smic north and SMIC south。

This is nothing to be concerned about; it signifies that China's semiconductor industry still has enormous room for growth. As long as China achieves breakthroughs in key technologies, the pace at which it expands production will quickly eat into TSMC's market share.

We don't actually know the full revenue of SMIC fabs, since most of its newer fabs are at likely at least 40% owned by local govt. It only has 38% ownership of its most important advanced fab SMSC, which pulls in most of the capex and generates the most revenue. Since it has stopped breaking revenue down by subsidiaries, I don't know if all the revenues from those 2 fabs are fully counted toward its earnings.

Besides, this is a topic that typically gets nowhere, so PLEASE MOVE ON
