This only works if you have the largest market in the world. Chinese market is literally bigger than rest of the world combined.

Looking at the writing, does that mean that if SMIC is not able to do GaaFET that they will be even more behind? They just got FinFET done. It's a start, but they need to expand capacity many times more.
TSMC does 730,000 wafers per month for its 16nm process.
I would be very surprised if this goes through. If so, I'd imagine all other Chinese vendors would work doubly hard to go indigenous and harmony os would be used much more
The Americans are ruthless. We tend to underestimate their ruthlessness and that is a big problem.I would be very surprised if this goes through. If so, I'd imagine all other Chinese vendors would work doubly hard to go indigenous and harmony os would be used much more
How to dominate when the market is in China. Maybe for a short time period the US can still maintain the lead in semiconductor tech, but for how long if that is not market driven. The large electronic products market in China will ensure the Chinese will sustain the semiconductor tech development effort until parity is established with the West.
The first step is half the journey..It's a start, but they need to expand capacity many times more.

They should work trebbly hard regardles of what happens to Honor. China should work day and night in order to get FULLY SELF SUFFICIENT at least in the >= 28nm chips.I would be very surprised if this goes through. If so, I'd imagine all other Chinese vendors would work doubly hard to go indigenous and harmony os would be used much more
