Only time will tell .... but after 2030, I think China would be the leader or at par. My guess

2021 - 2025 : 2 - 2.5 generations behind
2026 - 2030 : 1 - 1.5 generations behind
2031 - 2035 : 0.5 generation behind or at par

Just dont engage at their game. They can play with their own stuffs.
Nothing wrong with using older technology but with totally different standard products.
The ultimate goal is to keep US, taiwan, Korea and Japan semiconductor out of China market.

Generally, 700+ page reports weren't written to be read or to be useful. They were made long, wordy, and pointless to make the author seem contemplative, intelligent and credible so that others believe him without (too many) questions. I'll bet everything that's said in the report is said 10+ times in slightly different ways just to take up more space. The US is still struggling with it because they have the most at stake even though in the back of their minds, they most likely know they can't stop China. Korea and Japan probably know good and well that China's about to turn the lithography/semi fab industry tits up in a couple of years but are just playing along cus you have to entertain your desperate friend's crazy whims while he's freaking out.

This is not even remotely related to lithography machine; it has been clarified. Some people can get easily excited by something rather far-fetched or they're just cashing in on the craze on anything litho.

Yes, to everyone, please exercise restraint and use some time to try and verify the content and relevance of articles before just posting them here.

I understand semiconductors are growing in interest here but use some restraint and assess sources critically, or at least if you are unsure about the veracity of a claim feel free to post the article and post your own thoughts and questions about it.
