Does anyone think Asian countries want to lose the China market? Every country "thinking it over" is just placating the US. And in turn the US doesn't think about how it'll cost their allies. Americans only care about getting what they want. The whole genocide accusation is Republicans looking for excuse to force the West to decouple from China especially on technology. They can't go telling their allies this all about the US wanting to control and make all the money over technology. You know what proof I have that's the case? Where are the West's armies attacking and invading China to stop this horrible crime? All they've done is basically spent the breath to say it.

I don't know why the "allies" would go along with it. All it does is weaken their economies. What exactly are they getting out of it? Anything?

Yes......i think Russia China Cooperation on EUVL Development will eventually happen in the future.
Russia has done alot of research into EUVL Light Sources since 2010 and alot of their research results was adopted by ASML.
They are proposing a Next Generation Light Source based on Xenon Gas.
I believe there is already some cooperation between Chinese and Russian Academy of Sciences on Future Light Sources.
Russia has a road map to produce 5nm Chips. To this end they need a EUVL.
Russia has no choice but to either acquire a EUVL from China or develop a EUVL with China.

I was unimpressed by Xiaomi's lack of urgency on chip investments but it seems that they have recently started investing seriously.


A good first step but it is only on IC design so ultimately it is mostly useless
Lets wait until 29 March to see their new capabilities on chip development.

@voyager1 they can't even design a competitive chips, why not use and license Huawei Kirin 9000 or create a consortium with OPPO, VIVO and OnePlus and create one since they had the experience of using the same Qualcomm chips.

Don't set your expectation too high. It's most likely a component chip such as an external ISP.

Chip design is where the real money is. Xiaomi growing beyond just being a consumer electronics OEM is a good thing.

Russia also needs the 5nm process tech, only liang mong song team can potentially provides that.
