Biren is certified on Baidu Erniebot & Paddle Paddle. It's BR104 GPU has been validated on 18 models to work with paddlePaddle and meeting level 2 requirements

Biren downgraded their chip from what I recall so that it could be fabbed by TSMC. Until SMIC expands its 7nm capacity there isn't much room for the company to have its chips fabbed there

Wolfspeed selling RF business to Macom.
Interesting that Wolfspeed is selling all its GaN-on-Sic business to Macom including its 4-inch GaN fab in NC. And for just $125m!

Recently, Macom just won USAF contract for GaN-on-SiC used in MMIC products. Note the tech is 0.14 microns (equivalent to 140nm), so that's where the tech is right now for GaN-on-Sic product. And certainly GaN-on-Sic products have future applications Power amplifiers in T/R Modules. So this is very relevant. Is wolfspeed seeing Ga ban being more rigorously enforced than they let on? China should clearly sanction any Ga export to Macom now and Wolfspeed & Qorvo.

Keep an eye on Chinese firms continued GaN-on-Sic development. Clearly represent improvement over GaN-on-Si for PA applications

There is 64 core RISC-V CPU getting unveiled
This SG2042 CPU by Sophgo is already in mass production and have started delivery in March
It makes use of T-Head's high performing Xuantie cores and operate at 2.0 GHz.
It uses Vector 0.71 and works with various linux OS
There are motherboards designed now to use multiple SG2042 CPUs with the goal of entering HPC market.
When this was announced, it was said a 64-core RISC-V CPU called HS-1 general purpose motherboard (衡山1号通用计算主板) was getting developed that can fit 2 CPUs -> 128-cores

Looks like for server compute with RISC-V china might be there already.
Should be interesting to see when RISC-V consumer compute chips come out. Hope T-Head or HiSillicon can create their own M1 or M2 like RISC-V architecture for the consumer side of thing get them to like 3~3.5 Ghz max core clockspeed and i think you will find some people willing to spend money on it.

Secretly i hope Huawei and HiSilicon are doing this with Harmony Next for laptops and desktops.

So TSMC can fab Chinese chips up to 10nm ?
They can fab Chinese chips to any nm unless it is for a sanctioned company like Huawei. In Biren's case the restriction was not about the fab node. It was a restriction on chip interconnect speed for AI chips. So they reduced the interconnect speed, same as Nvidia. There is of course, the high probability that any Chinese fabless company that tries to use TSMC's most advanced node getting magically included into the Entity list at some point.
