Hefei city high-tech group YUWEITEK completes funding round​


Manufacturer Yuwei Semiconductor Technology Co Ltd, or YUWEITEK – based in the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone, or Hefei high-tech zone, in Hefei city, capital of East China's Anhui province – is a company that is expanding vigorously, especially after having secured a fresh chunk of funding.
The group, which supplies integrated circuits volume inspection equipment, recently announced the successful completion of a round of Series B financing.
Founded in 2019, the first IC defect detection product developed by YUWEITEK is being used by leading semiconductor chip manufacturers and has received international recognition, securing it running orders.
Over the past five years, YUWEITEK has developed seven core technologies – including a nanoscale photoelectric sensor measurement system – and has rolled out six major categories of volume testing products in four major fields, which are standardized for mass production in the zone.​

The first supply of YUWEITEK wafer inspection equipment to CXMT

YUWEITEK wafer inspection equipment was successfully supplied to CXMT on May 5, 2022.

The wafer defect inspection equipment being delivered this time will help CXMT detect product defects in a more timely, comprehensive and efficient manner in the front-end manufacturing process of wafer, and greatly reduce unnecessary investment in defective product processing.

CXMT is the first customer of YUWEITEK in Anhui Province. The successful delivery of the above mentioned product has laid a solid foundation for the company to further expand the Anhul market.

In the future, YUWEITEK will continue to deepen its technical strength, improve its product performance and enrich its product types, and strive to promote the healthy and rapid development of the domestic semiconductor equipment industry.

Abstract​

Generating laser with short wavelength is a bottleneck problem in laser technology. The current applicable table top extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lasers are all generated by multi-photon process, with low efficiency and the record short wavelength of 113.8 nm do not meet some applications. By utilizing metastable helium atoms excited by microwave and irradiated by a resonant laser, here we report the development of a practical 58.4 nm laser by single-photon-excitation related anti-Stokes Raman scattering (ASRS). The conversion efficiency is much higher than that of high harmonic generation (HHG). The same divergence of 1.4 mrad as that of excitation laser indicates its stimulating character. Our results show an applicable path towards up-conversion by single-photon process to generate table top EUV lasers.

Wow, this looks huge! Does it mean that we don't need Tin droplet to generate the laser (which is incredibly complex).

It seems US will punish CXMT. Does CXMT still using foreign tools/equipments?

Core energy semiconductor high-power module packaging and testing project signed a contract in Hefei​


On May 29, Shenzhen Xinneng Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sineng Semiconductor") and Anchao Economic Development Zone signed a project cooperation agreement in the Hefei Municipal Government.

The contracted project adopts advanced technology and focuses on high-power module packaging and testing. It mainly builds 10 IGBT and 5 SIC MOS automated production lines. The products are used in new energy vehicles, solar energy and home appliances. Achieve an annual output of 4.8 million IGBT modules and 600,000 SIC MOS modules, with an annual revenue of about 1.5 billion yuan.

According to the data, Xinneng Semiconductor is a national high-tech enterprise and a national "specialized, special and new" small giant enterprise focusing on the research and development, production, application and sales of IGBT chips, high-voltage gate drive chips and intelligent power modules. The company has successively obtained equity investment from Shenzhen Hi-tech Investment, Midea, Xiaomi, State Power Investment, and Dachen Venture Capital.

Xinneng Semiconductor has mastered the leading domestic core technology and focuses on the R&D and design of power semiconductor related products. As of the end of March 2023, 47 integrated circuit layouts have been issued, and 84 invention patents have been actually authorized. The products are mainly used in industrial servo motor drives and frequency conversion home appliances. , inverters, power systems, new energy vehicles, etc.
