Because those GPUs like the recently restricted Nvidia A/H 100 are intended for datacenters where the buyer purchases hundreds(if not thousands) of them for massive server farms like this(with each rack holding dozens of the GPUs).

I believe this is a photo of the Shenwei (Sunway) supercomputer which is made with purely Chinese chips. also, Nvidia GPUs are really only used in AI data centers.

So Chinese companies like huawei have been stockpiling chips, and still there is excess supply? It looks like there are so many chips in warehouses worldwide.
hmm, that's really not a great long term solution. They are just building up their domestic

Full on war

hmm, we'd have to wait for the details. A lot of the recently announced CPU and GPUs are produced by TSMC and Samsung. We will have to see what happens to those. Either way, these chip design studios would be foolish to not be cooperating with SMIC. If there is a full on ban of TSMC/Samsung from making chips for the likes of Alibaba and Baidu, then it would be annoying, since it will take some time for them to work out new chips with SMIC.

Well, time for them to stockpile chips. If I were these guys, I'd call up TSMC/Samsung and fast track orders through.

Not surprising, I predicted a full chip embargo, back then many on the forum were still seemingly hopeful that after Biden release of Huawei princess that things will turn a new leaf, as it were

In America the POTUS is 100% puppetfigure... as I said all along.

Next prediction is that things will go thermonuclear soon
Why are you still on this forum and ruining a perfectly good thread with these nuclear talks? I thought you were going to quit this forum after your prediction of a war over Pelosi visit didn't happen.

If you have nothing important to offer, please stop ruining things.

Didn't you say you would leave the forum if the US and China didn't go to war by the end of August, tidalwave?
What are you still doing here?

What you think WW3 is for ? If China is not allowed to develop then there is no point to exist peaceful under western domination. A WW3 will be great, using force to bring down this twisted western dominated world order.

I'm sorry bro, but I am not able to see a possible WW3 like something that offers good perspectives....

...and retaliate on US bans is just doing a favor to US. IMO it would be a silly move.

If TSMC cannot export to China, and China leadership is inclined to do something strong (but I really hope they are not!!!!), a possible answer could be to sabotage some TSMC advanced fab, like it is a random gas pipeline (who lives in Europe understands).

This, yes, would give a huge blow to US, and it would give it now....there is a reason why US is frantically trying to re-shore advanced fabs.

In an hypothetical opposite situation, if US would have been in China's shoes, I'd guess they would have already did it, and much worse too. They don't have a lot of patience, they much more prefer to fight.

Rightly so bro, they want something that will stick to justify their provocation, IF you ignore it they look foolish and they're the one who suffer, Like I said before we are dealing with Kens and Karens with self entitled view, no matter how wrong they are won't back down.

like Sabotage their electricity grid?

Bro from your previous post Its theirs to begin with, so naturally they want it back, Lock, Stock and Barrel. :)

Thus my question can carbon replace silicon? If it is then China should develop and claimed it.

From my previous post a 90nm carbon base chip is equivalent to 28nm silicon chip

a 65nm Carbon chip is equivalent to 10nm silicon chip

Both can be produce using SMEE 90nm and 65nm DUVL, what more of SSA800 28nm DUVL. If we can deduce then a 28nm carbon chip may have the same equivalent performance to a 5nm or 3nm silicon chip?
