@hvpc bro sorry to disrupt your discussion, I just want to chime in, with such a huge project with multiple FABS , where will they get their water supply? Will that add to the cost IF they sources it elsewhere? or the State will take care of it?
I'll PM you. @Topazchen is right, we're spending too much time on tsmc.

@Annihilation98, what's your understanding on the last consensus view of this forum on the SMEE immersion system? What do you mean when you say "late", are we expecting a delivery or some sort of milestone?
SMEE is not a public company, right? if so, it is not obligated to disclose what products it is shipping.
The company that are using the SMEE products are not obligated to disclose their suppliers as well, even if they are public companies. It can be kept out of public information for a while even after delivery.

The Shanghai COVID situation could affect deliveries times not just for SMEE but also for other companies. Is an wait situation now.

Yes Shanghai COVID situation is really problematic, mainly everything (especially the R&D) has been more or less halted down for an unknown period of time. Honestly speaking I am quite shocked China choose such a drastic and very self-harm approach considering that today Omicron fatality rate is very low, and the damage is huge and will be even bigger in the next months.

This is not the thread to discuss this BUT the problem is not the CFR but how fast this virus spread, in country the size of China if they let this virus to spread without control they could have like 300K-500K deaths in just a few months. Why having that outcome if they can avoid it? Or the second option is let the virus spread but ramp up censorship to the maximum, treat COVID statistics like a state secret and do what the Indians did, just report the "I Feel Good Numbers".
