@dfrtyhgj bro I like the current strategy by Ren Zhengfei, instead of being passive and defensive, attack and disrupt from behind, asymmetric warfare, classic Mao tactic. And I applaud Xi effort in reintroducing Maoism, Western teaching are corrupt to the bone, basic human principle is being disregard for profit. Huawei employees will be the vanguard, even those educated in the west had a major rethink.

There is not success or failure in the technical development of SME but continuous improvement, there is success and failure in sales but that is up to the future, the machine has to reach the fab were is gonna be tested to meet the fab requirements.
I had read in a report that two lithography machines were shipped by SMEE, one to SMIC in 2020 and another to YTMC in 2021. So obvious that those machines are for testing and improvement.
@tokenanalyst again excellent analysis, Bro what's important is the product delivery, they had done it, success or not they had produce an incredible technical machine and like you said A Base equipment were they can work and improve upon. On the subject of SMEE DUVL from what I read from @WTAN 4 units were delivered while from @Oldschool 3 (SMIC, YTMC and Huahong).

Recent posts here seem to endlessly revolve around SMIC's 7nm and SMEE's 28nm without reference to any concrete timelines or even substantial news. It's a bit disheartening.

As a bit of a morale booster I'd like to remind everyone of China's progress from 2015-2020.

In 2015, China's market share can be best described as pathetic. Even under the assembly, packaging & testing, the most labor-driven part of the supply chain, China could only take 12% of the global market.

In just 5 years, impressive improvements have been made along the entire semiconductor supply chain despite US sanctions. Most notably in wafer fabrication (SMIC) and chip design (HiSilicon). In AP&T, China now takes a commanding 38% of the market share. However equipment and EDA continue to lag. Overall, we still have a long way to go before realizing a fully indigenous semiconductor supply chain.

Industries as complex as chipmaking are inherently globalized endeavors. ASML and TSMC would be worthless if they could not import equipment from companies in the US, Japan, Germany, etc. China is special in that it is striving to do the entire thing herself. Even for a monster of a country like China that will take time. Be patient and trust in China, there is surely a long road ahead but progress thus far has been heartening. Jiayou Zhongguo!

According to Weibo news, on February 26, Suzhou High-tech Zone held a major project promotion meeting in 2022 to promote the start of construction of 36 major projects with a total investment of 35.8 billion yuan. The start-up project covers key industrial fields such as high-end medical devices, integrated circuits, software and information technology, and green and low carbon.

Among them, the high-end instrument and equipment project of Zhongke Keyi, with a total investment of 500 million yuan and a construction area of 68,000 square meters, will form a complete industrial chain of "basic research-application development-industrial development". 700 million yuan.

It is reported that Suzhou Zhongke Keyi Technology Development Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhongke Keyi. It is responsible for the planning and operation of Zhongke Keyi's high-end instrument and equipment industrialization projects, focusing on electronic optics and vacuum technology. Relevant research and development results always represent China's high-end electronic optical instruments and the highest level of vacuum industry.

Zhongke Keyi is a leader in cutting-edge scientific equipment and vacuum technology in China. The business field covers scientific instruments and equipment such as scanning electron microscopes and helium mass spectrometer leak detectors, and industrial equipment and core components such as molecular pumps and vacuum application equipment. The products are widely used in scientific research, aerospace, semiconductor, automobile industry, new energy, new Frontier scientific research and high-end equipment manufacturing fields such as materials, energy saving and environmental protection.
