@Overbom bro they were forced to, cause for the Chinese they viewed Lenovo as an American Company, the Corporate structure , their Corporate values and their management, they never produce any core tech after acquisition ,It was an early experiment of Western capitalism and it was eaten up from the inside. I'm happy that most of the CEO of China Tech Hardware industries never studied abroad, they maintain the truism of Chinese entrepreneurship and I don't buy the narratives that Western education is an Ipso Facto for success. Hard work, vision and commitment is the three crucial thing not some graduate thesis from Harvard who never work in the industries.
Old habits die hard. Lenovo has been in its comfort zone for too long. I doubt that it even has the guts to change course.
I'd wait and see.

I am keeping my expectations for Lenovo very low. So low in fact, that if I didn't see this news now I would start having suspicions that they were all along a CIA-front company because i have never seen a more useless Chinese "big" tech company in doing real R&D.
Hopefully they got slapped really bad by the CPC and decided to finally do something good for a change.
