Isn't that complete bullshit judging from the fact that Chinese semiconductor production keeps steadily rising YoY?Is the U.S. about to make a multi-billion mistake in much the same way that the Chinese government has by funding a national fab capacity buildup that has largely been a flop?
lots chinese immigrant to US or western countries. most forum members here live in western countries. if the company offer additional raise/pay/moving fees etc, most those employee gonna move to US. that just reality, a $150k+ salary in idaho is pretty good. silicon valley is full of chinese immigrant working at apple/google etc etc. If china want to keep those talent, they needs to pay more or something attractive so the employees want to stay. if the employee have the skillset, they will be needed in china or US or elsewhere.let's see. your job tells you to make a decision to emigrate immediately because your old job no longer exists. the destination has a lifestyle and demographic that you are 100% not used to. your kids will need to be pulled out of school immediately, lose all their friends, etc. and that's on your employer's word, the same employer that just eliminated your old job.
you'd trust it?
