Chinese OS and software ecosystem

Not sure what to expect since older versions have been out, but Huawei is releasing a new version of it's linux distribution. It would be nice if they made a new desktop environment for it to distinguish itself from any other distributrion.

If I'm not mistaken OpenEuler is their linux server distribution, the Operating system they use to run cloud/enterprise/server based applications/services. Still should be interesting, I do hope they will show a linux + harmony components distribution something that looks like PopOS or elementary OS 6.

I hope so too. I have looked at deepin and I am not very impress by that particular design.

They do have a harmony/emui desktop when connecting the phone to a monitor

Folks do any of you have information about Chinese simulation software? Think ansys or something similar.

Some interesting thing for developers:
  • Harmony OS 3.0 announced
  • Adding the ability to declarative design Harmony OS UI elements with JS/TS called ArkUI 3.0
  • Multi language debugging support for their Ark Compiler 3.0
  • The most interesting thing Huawei will release their own programming language for harmony and Euler OS
