Chinese Military Exports (Land Systems)

Like seriously, many Thai people just don't think at all when it comes to anything China. An F-35 crashed a few days ago, no words. An AT-6 Wolverine aircraft crashed and killed two airmen, no words. One of like 40 Chinese tanks has its barrel blown up? Then that means ALL of them are bad.

I swear, this is why we are stagnant as a nation.
คิดเหมือนกัน. It’s the same old story with the S26T submarine. When an Indonesian sub sank in 2021, or when our new South Korean frigate's MTU engine failed, it wasn't a big deal just a slap on the wrist for the Navy and move on. But Chinese submarines? Suddenly it's trash just because a Ming-class sub sank over 20 years ago? That's beyond moronic. People point to the major refits of HTMS Naresuan and HTMS Taksin to claim Chinese shipbuild quality is poor (which is hilarious, considering those two are now our most combat-ready vessels.), completely ignoring the fact that the gap between Chinese naval industry then and now is like heaven and hell. (Notice how they don’t say a damn word about HTMS Chang, except that it lacks offensive value.)

This war against Iran practically laid bare the U.S. Navy and air defense systems, shattering the myth that American weapons are invincible. Yet people in many countries still harbor an almost fanatical reverence for American weapons, which shows just how severe the U.S. propaganda campaign has been.

It is also unfair for the crew to get 100 percent of the blame since that under high intensity combat in jungle environment it is inevitable that weapons are subject to suboptimal conditions. It’s just a fact of life. But I find it hilarious that the Wanwanese, who haven’t had any of their weapons developed tested under live combat conditions, are behind negative propaganda against mainland Chinese arms. Maybe they should go fix the RWR on their flagship fighter jet before spouting anymore B.S.

Trust in American weaponry isn’t just about propaganda. It comes from over a century of being tested in real world combat and constantly setting the standard for military tech. In fact, the reason the PLA was influenced by the US military and rushed to modernize was not because of propaganda. It was because they made a sober and objective assessment of those actual capabilities.

Now, if only they had the same standard of calling out underperforming or failed weapons that the US has had a century of having, like the way they do for Chinese exports, then that would be great.

I am old enough to remember all the criticism over equipment and gear from the US service members in the last few wars in the Middle East. Seeing EAs and SEAs gobble their leftovers and call it top class is laughable. Guess going 6-0 with what we considered a "low-end" fighter still isn't enough for some people.

I mentioned in the Thai-Cambodia thread before, it is likely that the US (and/or Indians) is running active disinformation campaigns. Remember the US campaign against Chinese Covid vaccines? People literally died in the Philippines because of it. They aren't going to be above calling Chinese tanks "pieces of sh*t", then making sure a lot of people in Thailand believe it.

Obviously if you can undermine the defense products of China, then naturally the country would be considered weak and American interests would be prioritized over relations with China.

For India, they are constantly trying to sell their half-baked products abroad. They make formal pitches for the Tejas when it isn't even fully adopted by the Indian Air Force.

ผมเห็นด้วย.

And another thing is that on second thought, I am suspicious of the original Weibo/Facebook post. If Norinco has announced anything about the situation, why is there no report from them? Why is it just texts in a Facebook post? I would just wait for official statement at this point.

What about you?

Where's that RWR post again? I want to find it

ROCAF officer reveals that even post upgrade, F-16A/B’s RWR cannot reliably react to PLAAF radar, providing neither accurate threat direction nor “lock on” warning. Is it any surprise that the Rafales got PL-15ed from extreme range now?

And of course shameless DPP came out to deny this since F-16V is the spiritual totem for the pro-Independence people.
