...so? Respectfully, there is physically no difference from the OG batch delivered by China, and I was moreso pointing at the fact that the new A1 uses the same camo as Pakistani VT4s.
Assessment was positive so no surprise there really.
There is a claim that a Thai VT-4 tank, while firing against the Cambodian side, suffered a burst barrel and exploded, injuring 3 crew members.
But if it were the barrel itself, it shouldn't look like this. It seems more likely to be a breech failure, ammunition malfunction, user error, or a hit from an anti-tank missile.
What are your thoughts?

Cracked windows of the sights indicate an external explosion. Could also be just an ATGM etc.
It's highly likely that if it were an internal explosion, at least two tank crew members wouldn't have survived. Not to mention the ammunition storage under the turret; the outcome would have been far more catastrophic. And it seems whoever posted this picture on the Thai military enthusiast group was quickly removed. There must be something going on.
Oh boy, don't you dare say that in front of them. Guaranteed, a hundred times out of a hundred, they'll just write it off as 'it's low-quality because it's Chinese.
