As an aside, has PLA looked into zipline like system for automated drone deliveries?
They are launched via spring and are recovered semi-autonomously using a wire after dropping the parachuted payload on to GPS coordinates.
The drones themselves can carry a 1.8kg payload and up to 300km of flight time (halved return).
2 base stations are able to cover almost the entirety of Rwanda, an admittedly small country. Each base station currently launch up to 500 times a day.
Seems like this sort of low cost, extremely high throughput UAV usage that can be adapted and further automated for military usage, examples could be hot meals and supplies for high altitude patrolling troops or remote island hopping campaign resupply. Potentially could also drop bombs on GPS coordinates but that will be stretching the capabilities of this configuration a bit.
