Is this type 08? or a new type of ifv?This appears to be the infantry fighting vehicle variant. Too bad the turret is obscured, but you can see the cannon sticking out from under the camouflage.

Designation is unknown, but it's almost certainly based on the Type 08.

Seeing these 2 photos, it seems like there is quite a big design difference with the Type 08. The Type 08 has a almost flat roof while this seems to have 2 levels.
I wonder why they are building these. Aren't the Type 08 quite a new platform? Could it be these are for export or maybe the Type 08 has some big problems we don't know about

Type 08 is the designation is for an entire family of armored 8x8 vehicles. Every vehicle in the images below is a Type 08.

So this "2 height hull" is also a part of 08 family? In this photo the one on the extreme right looks like a "2 height hull" but I am not sure

Ahh I finally understand now, so this two roof chassis is meant to be paired with the new Type 15 gun, to replace the ZTL-11Upgraded 8x8 chassis, which was first revealed as a self-propelled gun platform.

I wonder if it will replace the single roof chassis for other variants like the 30mm or 155mm, that seems like a huge waste considering the Type 08s are so new
