Chinese infantry fighting vehicles

A 360-degree situational awareness sensor turret for armored vehicles. It features a 'intelligent/smart sensor' mounted at the very top, followed by infrared and daytime cameras, and at the bottom there are eight(?) cameras that form a 360-degree image around the vehicle. At the very bottom lies the 'intelligent/smart controller'. I wonder if there is an AI element for automatic threat warning.

Seems like someone might've taken a page out of the Ukraine handbook. This thing likely has been in development for years, nevertheless.

The Russians were still ordering a lot of BMP-3 IFVs even recently with the delays in the other programs of record. If it is true that was destroyed with HEAT perhaps they need to add a spall liner to the vehicle or some rubber side skirts.
It is supposed to be replaced with Kurganets-25. But that program is so delayed I wonder when it will ever enter mass production.

The problem with the BMP-3 and vehicles like the ZBD-04 are that they are thinly armored. I think a modern IFV needs to have modular armor packages.

I thought ZBD04A at least had fairly hefty armour? The PLA IFVs I'd be wanting rid of ASAP are the ZBD03 and the remaining Type 086(A)s.
