Chinese Hypersonic Developments (HGVs/HCMs)

In spite of the title of this thread, I assume from your thread description that it is OK and not off topic to post Russian and US (and other countries) activities on HGV and HCM. Right ?
Since this is under the Chinese defense and military, rather than World Armed Forces forums, anything not Chinese would definitely be off topic for this thread. IMO.

@Deino I guess it would be best to delete this thread since it's redundant.
The problem is that half the discussion takes place on the BM & Nuclear thread, which is just confusing. And @Rettam Stacf has a valid point as well. International Hypersonic tech should also be centralized somewhere for easy access and comparisons.
This area of Hypersonics is only going to grow in importance. Right now these discussions are all over the place and it's a bit confusing to access them.
To clarify, I meant delete this one (mine), since it's new and doesn't have content yet.
But we would still need the topic of Hypersonics to be centralized for easy access.
The AF thread maybe belongs here in the Strategic section, so that the issue doesnt get split between the BM/Nuclear thread and the AF section. We only really need 2 segments/threads: Chinese and International
Ok, but why not keeping both? The one in the AF section as a more general thread for research and this one in the strategic section for eventual operational systems?

This year's national innovation prize list. Of interest is the 4th item: "高超声速强预冷空天动力".
The team for a "hypersonic pre-cooled air-breathing propulsion system" is being recognized for their work. Basically, such a propulsion system is intended for a single-stage, reusable space launch vehicle (i.e. air-breathing spaceplane). See my posts and @taxiya's excellent translation on page 31-32 of this thread for more information. It appears the project is making progress.
