Does anyone know how AECC works? Do they have any plans to consolidate manufacturing into fewer locations or will they be retaining all the manufacturing locations of their subsidiaries like Shenyang Liming, Guizhou Liyang, XAEC, South Aviation Industry, AECC Chengdu etc

Even if they do not consolidate manufacturing they can trim the high level management by merging operations together. That should help reduce costs.

My understanding is AECC consolidates the R&D and management of all the different engine projects. Once design for engines are completed they’re handed off to subsidiaries for testing and further development.

Who is this guy? What's his background? Does he work in or is he affiliated with Chinese aero-engine industry? Is he an aerospace engineer? Is he an industry insider?

Or is he yet another Youtube saliva sprinkler that you admire?

Could you please, for the love of god, stop sharing stupid Youtube videos in the flagship military forums?
Seeing all those comment really dihearthening many are pesimist

Anyone know the history of the WS-9 aka RR Spey used on the JH7?

Did China get full tech transfer for that? I'm surprised China managed to build it domestically even after getting embargoed in the 90s

I think the first batch were actually second hand from RAF/RN F4 Phantoms.
