What are the other companies from the list?

What ! That is going to hit all the major China themed ETF like MCHI, KWEB and several actively managed funds by JPM and BlackRock.

The list is abused, any companies whose progress is too fast will be thrown in.

In fact, almost all BRI companies has been put in the entity list.

This is an attempt to cut them off from the capital market. First the US investors, next is from world capital. I can imagine "Investing in these companies means undermining the free world order, any nations that do so will be sanctioned".

Hmmm Trump is really trying hard to leave the USA in such a bad state that it would be near impossible to fix the oncoming crisis. And also given how volatile the USA market is now given that any company that does better will be sanctioned, this will discourage firms that will want to invest in the USA. Hence this move is a suicidal move for the USA since this means no one investing in the USA means no jobs means there will be 10s of millions unemployed and thus they will be in a situation where they will print trillions a month to keep the USA going, thus devaluing the dollar and will encouraging other nations to dump the dollar. Hence the USA will find it hard to borrow money to fund there living standards hence there will be blood on the streets. Or they just simply stop sending money to the unemployed and then there will still be blood on the streets anyway. Either way, this move will sink the USA and thus there days are numbered
China obviously has seen this move coming and have planned accordingly since they have been measured in there responses, not chaotic like the USA as of now. This shows with how China is still able to grow despite the USA going all out to antagonise China will the USA economy is shrink at a very fast pace. Hence I won’t be surprised if China still has a few tricks up there sleeves while the USA is rapidly running out of options

Hi Nobonita Barua,

The upside is that most American company will miss out from China growth and its BRI initiative, the more usage of YUAN as a mode of payment, the usage of CIPS instead of SWIFT. As American grapple with the pandemic and its economic consequence, let see who blink first, it's a pretty nasty gift for the incoming Biden administration. Well done Trump, you're indeed a sore loser. :) :)

I am expecting China to convince Iran to sell energy in yuan for BRI countries.

This will eventually be a thing but only at a time when the USA is are there weakest (i.e. a civil war or when the dollar goes to the negative) so that when China decides to allow the digital yuan go global, there wouldn't be as much resistance to the idea. Currently many USA companies need China to continue there growth, especially in this crisis, if Trump does sanction these firms, he only ends up harming these companies and hence increase the amount of people wanting to either sue Trump or plot to ruin him anyway. Either way, all he is doing is increasing the amount of enemies he will have, along with ensuring that these firms will end up making more people redundant, hence ending up ensuring that there will be blood on the streets

Hi Nobonita Barua,

I think there is an understanding in private just not to arouse the American. Iran and Russia is perfect complement to China. The three of them need each other to survive this US onslaught, and that's the thing each had it's sphere of influence to protect. China in the pacific, Russia in the former soviet republic, Iran in the middle east. The RBI initiative tie all of them together.

The fact that there hasn't been any knee jerk response from China shows that they saw this coming long ago. China has prepared itself for all exigencies including the moment when they get cut off from SWIFT. Americans are too stupid to realise that you should never show all your cards at once.
