This is a national security issue for China. The pipeline through Mongolia can be damaged by local or foreign terrorists. The solution is to liberate Mongolia as well.
If it ever materializes it is a win for the 3.
I don't know that revenue from power of Siberia ability to fund Mongolia enough to combat desert. If not, Mongolia would be wasteland as emissions will get increase.
They won't use the money to combat desert anyway. Mongolia is filled with idiots and scammers.

Mongolia is a western stooge country in the middle of Russia and China. They are a huge security risk. I don't trust Mongolia at all in its current form. Unless there is a major change in Mongolian politics, this pipeline is more trouble than worth
Eventually they will have to all run away or starve to death because of the ecological collapse. Just waiting another decade or two is a very small price to pay for a best case reunion in a form.
Ahahah...that time is long gone unfortunately. Russia already made sure Cbina recognised mongolia's separation from China. Else China could have easily retaken the territory back.
