This has been discussed in this forum many times.
There is no way that an economy that consumes two times or more cars, major appliances and electricity as the US could magically be smaller.

Even worse than exaggerated prices contributing to high US GDP numbers, much more of US GDP comes from "consumptions of suffering" that not only do not contribute to quality of life but actually detracts from it, e.g., litigation, health insurance, rent, etc.
