No surprise there once Trump abandoned the reciprocal tariffs less than 2 days into its implementation i knew this would happen. People both in America and China needs to make a living so they will find a way to make it work. These tariffs won't be the one punch knockout blow for either China or America.
There is still an impact on America here because goods crossing ASEAN borders will still have to pay their duties, which translates into additional cost for US consumers.

We will see when American ports are running full again if its really about transhipment, so i think somewhere in June we will know.
Or did the drop in US port traffic already jump again?

This Trump deal with China (plus the earlier reciprocal taxes on everyone) pretty much destroys any combined Western effort that the Democrats tried to craft.

Because their fucking Boss did it, every one of the formerly subservient from the EU to Japan to the Quad will now be trying to conclude China deals on their own.
