Japan has always been a closed market and especially since Abe just recently said he wasn't going to open Japan's car market after he promised Trump to be cooperative on trade. Hypocrite!

Name an obstacle that is unique to Japan that hinders the US or any other national auto maker from exporting into Japan.
Basically it's BS that other nations are quibbling about.

Ask your Master Trump and how he pointed out US automakers face so many hurdles selling American made cars in Japan. Also agriculture especially rice. Again... hypocritical!

You are evading the question. Like I said Trump and C. is making a quibble and nothing else. As for agriculture Japan is not unique, most nations including PRC is doing the same.

The Trumps May Bring More Chinese Travelers To The United States

Despite Trump's anti-China rhetoric during his election campaign,

by Brand USA reveals that the Chinese are the only group indicating that the political climate in the United States under Donald Trump has made them more likely to visit the country than before. This puts them in stark contrast to every other country surveyed, which includes Mexico, Canada, and Australia.

It seems counterintuitive, but many Chinese actually like President Trump. The reason is simple: he's a strong man. In Chinese culture, a strong man should be in charge. Maybe that's why President Xi Jinping is popular in China, with a near

The fact that Trump hosted his first meeting with Xi at his summer resort Mar-a-Lago in Florida may very well make it a site of fascination for wealthy Chinese who look to associate with the world's famous and powerful.

Already, Chinese billionaire and real estate tycoon Guo Wengui has shown off

on the Mar-a-Lago grounds with its managing director Bernd Lembcke -- Trump's "favorite man," even before President Xi set foot on the property.

Last year, the number of China's billionaires surpassed that of the United States -- 568 versus America's 535. Be prepared for more Chinese billionaires to join the membership club at Mar-a-Lago.

The pull of Ivanka

The same is true for Ivanka Trump. While Ivanka is a controversial figure in the U.S., many Chinese women adore her and consider her a role model. She seems to have everything Chinese women aspire to -- pretty, rich, elegant, and her own career -- not to mention her beautiful family.

During the Chinese New Year, Ivanka uploaded a video of her daughter Arabelle reciting Chinese poems. The Chinese were mesmerized by that. The video has gone viral on Chinese social media.

Ivanka Trump also fits into the stereotype of what a "good" woman should be in Chinese culture. She is loyal to her father, as many see it, and she is devoted to her husband because she converted to Judaism when she married Jared Kushner. Those are considered Chinese virtues.

As such, Trump Towers may become the preferred hotels for Chinese travelers. Mar-a-Lago may even become the next wedding destination for wealthy Chinese millennials. An increasing number of Chinese are planning their weddings overseas, with some having a budget as much as 1 million yuan (about $150,000).

According to Ctrip, the Chinese travel site, overseas weddings have increased exponentially, growing at 200% in recent years. Nearly 60% of young Chinese plan to travel overseas to tie the knot.

Chinese travelers represent the largest group of luxury consumers in the world, accounting for one-third of total luxury purchases in 2016. The Trumps may bring more Chinese travelers to the U.S. than ever before.

Then your post #7145 makes you a pot calling the kettle black.
Now that is an overstatement on your part.
Japan has very little trade barrier outside of agricultural products with no barriers in the manufacturing sector, PRC has many. No where near a pot calling the kettle situation.

And yet Japan's economic growth is so difficult to envy... It really makes me wonder why anyone bothers to have any serious conversation with you. Where I come from, when an F student tells an A student that he's not studying the right way, people just point and laugh. No need to really even listen to what he's saying. This time, the difference is really more like the kid who wears a helmet (country with "growth" often dipping into the negative) continuously coming back in his electric wheelchair to pick faults with the professor (largest engine of growth in the world).

And did you notice how you use Western sources to charge China yet scoff Western sources when they accuse Japan of unfair trade practices? More hypocrisy as usual.
