It has nothing to do with population. It's literally hiring a few people to work, then go home. I don't understand why so many people think this is a call for mass migration, which I would definitely oppose, when it clearly states that if approved, they have 180 day periods over 5 years. This clearly means that if China's industry is lacking in some skills, qualified foreigners can be screened, brought in to supplement the deficiency and train locals, then they will go home.

Because trickles can turn into a deluge. We all saw what happened in the West: from a few guest workers to millions within a generation. Once an interest group is entrenched, it is hard to root out. Under the one-child policy, forced abortions and foreign adoptions became an industry, with officials often corrupted, fighting to keep it going to the detriment of China’s demography.

It’s ironic how the CCP just celebrated kicking out the Japs 80 years ago, only to immediately surrender to the Indians without a fight. I wonder how the four Chinese soldiers martyred in the Galwan clash would feel, knowing their leaders betrayed them.

The mistakes of Western countries do not apply to China. Just because some imcompetent people turned into drug addicts does not mean that prescription drugs should be off limits to everyone.

Who makes videos when they support a policy? People make videos when they protest it. Assuming what I'm hearing is correct, that this is a visa for people who possess special skills lacking in China that allows its holders, who are approved on a case-by-case basis, to work in China in 180 day increments over 5 years, I'd have to imagine that the only people who fear it are people who either do not understand the terms and have confused it with mass migration or believe that they will fail in competition against foriegners. Either way, fear for this visa is for Chinese people with deficiencies.
