How about Japan, South Korea, US, India...even Russia maybe if Putin falls? China won't have many trading partners left if it adopts your plan. Meanwhile, all those countries are merrily funding the growing capabilities of the PLA.
Decoupling is happening with all hostile Western countries. Chinese corporations are moving up the value chain which decreases demands for products from those hostile countries. Aussie's products other than iron ore and lithium ore are easier to replace than products from other countries, so it goes first.

Tariffs on Australia should remain and be extended.

China should also investigate other ways of restraining Australia's increasingly racist and assertive behavior.

For instance, export bans should be explored. China should consider a 100% export tax on all goods sent to Australia.

Australians should also be banned from visiting Hong Kong and Macau. China should consider deporting all Australian residents in Hong Kong and Macau.

Finally, Australian citizens should not be granted the privilege of reporting in China (including Hong Kong and Macau).
lol.. as a Australian, I say... F U.. lol
But what are you gonna get out of the said actions? nothing lol, aside from pushing us further into the US. The more the trade and engagement, the bigger the dilemma for the politicians. Going one way for 3 years will get undone by the action of the other party after 3 years lol.. Leverage is a good thing, and leverage is achieved only through engagement, otherwise you will end up the same as the Americans, having absolutely none left lol.

The difference is China has absolutely no interest in fighting the Aussies if she is not provoked.
So then anyone country who is looking to go to war with China should also stop purchasing Chinese goods. How many and which countries do you think should do that? You don't need to answer that, we're kinda going off topic.

The difference is those countries run a trade deficit with China meaning China makes more from them than the other way around in trade. As long as that holds, no reason to shoot yourself in the foot as China is getting more $$$ out of every trade.

Australia runs a trade surplus with China, meaning it is making more money off of China than the other way around, now it’s not as simple as that because obviously a lot of the raw materials out of Australia get turned into final products sold else where by China, but reducing luxury spends like lobsters and wine from Australia is a net positive for China and therefore Australia should be the one begging for it, not China.

The thing is, decoupling is happening everywhere except in the numbers. Certain types of goods may have faced restrictions but overall the volume of trade has increased.
