Bro @ansy1968 , do you know why does Jollibee not have large footprint like KFC/McDonalds in China?
Hua Qiao can easily adopt since we share the same language and culture to easily navigate the Chinese maze while the Caucasian needed us to do the job for them...lol

And @Bellum_Romanum this is what I'm trying to convey, as the Chinese open up its economy and more interaction occur, the pendulum will shift in China's favor and what's good for China is good for ASIA. It will be liberating for us Asian as we experience the power we have that is kept locked inside, waiting for the Key to unlocked our potential.
I think we all rather have the money spent circulating inside Asia than sending franchise fees to Merimuttland.
Bro from my post above, Most Hua Qiao are Industrialist and entrepreneur while the Mestizo are land gentry, so you see why the oligarch are being smash left and right by the Hua Qiao, the latter thrive in Speculative economy and gov't protection while the former actually produce goods and services.

Bro sorry for not answering your original question, the reason, they missed the bus of Fast food boom in China, they came in late and their investment aren't large enough compare to their US counterpart. Jollibee need to conquer the domestic market first and use that as an advertising campaign to promote itself. So when they become Big and plan to push overseas to find new growth market the Chinese Fast food sector is saturated and also they offer the same menu as KFC and McDonalds so they need to introduce new product that is different. And let's be honest the Chinese have very discriminating palate....lol

They should just make rice with pork or chicken adobo plates add some Lumpia shanghai as a side dish.
I'm sure many Chinese will like that taste.

Sisig or crispi pata are also nice after drinking with friends.

The one that are growing economically are the Hua Qiao BUT their loyalty are suspect cause they are more nationalistic, bro in our history most of our national heroes are Hua Qiao and they are willing to die for their adopted country.

Eddie Cojuangco and Tony Tan Caktiong? Beer and Chicken are like national treasures, right?

Actual unemployment rate is actually down by 0.1% in July.
The 19.9% youth unemployment include youth of age 16 to 24 and to use this to represent unemployment rate is somewhat misleading.
Those from age group of 25 to 59 have unemployment rate of just 4.3%. Why does the Bloomberg writer omit this fact?

That's why, it's 6% higher right after graduation than in 2018, if it won't start falling in q3 and then we won't see sharp drop in q4 then we could see that Chinese economy at the end of the year would be in very bad state.

And sorry China official unemployment rate doesn't show the full picture. This unemployment rate is counted in cities only, usually migrant workers are rarely included. And when there is little jobs for migrant in cities they go back to their villages and are not counted as without the jobs.

11 months of making homes affordable and GDP is still going up! That really shows that the property industry is not as important as western economists claim
It's always been a myth. We have available data on GDP composition from China and US, although it is reported slightly differently. Let's look at 2019 data:

: ~13%.

: ~10.5%.

Construction is

and 7.2% of China GDP, although construction obviously encompasses much more than just real estate construction and China has a higher percentage because it builds more highways, railways, ports, dams, grids, and other public infrastructure.

You're telling me China experts and economics phds on r/geopolitics are lying when they tell me real estate comprises 30% of Chinese GDP? Why would anyone do that? Go on the internet and tell lies?

The Cojuangcos are an example of landed elites and are considered one of the worst oligarch, as they used their power to influence gov't and are known land grabbers. (Hacienda Luisita)
Tony Tan Caktiong? Beer and Chicken are like national treasures, right?
Bro Lucio Tan Owner of Phillipine Airline , Henry Sy (deceased) SMC , Ramon ANG San Miguel Corp, Gokongwai Cebu Pacific and many more these are the Titans of Philippine industries. The irony most of the Mestizos (mixed race) are former Hua Qiao who had married with the original mestizos or are coopted by the gentry, they in turn hold gov't office and enact law to forbade any Chinese to buy land to protect their power and holdings. The Taipans was force to become entrepreneur and they industrialized the Philippine during Marcos time, Now they become more richer than the oligarch....lol
