Leaked: New Car Brand by Changan Automobile, Huawei and CATL
EV business is going to be more like smart phones now and PCs before. Some latest models of EVs from BYD and other Chinese vendors are looking really good. I would definitely buy one if they are being sold in NA.
Huawei is searching for a path in the EV eco-system. I think Huawei can be one of the tier-one vendors who provide enabling technologies to EV manufacturers. Huawei and CATL are a potent pair of going to EV markets.
I am wondering how Japan and Germany will cope 5 to 10 years down the road. Who would have thought that, in our lifetime, the Chinese auto industry not only could catch up with Japan and Germany, but also would have a decent chance to surpass
What could have affected imports to miss the estimate from such a very large margin? Also Its good to see export beaten estimates, but I'm afraid of the data for this month.

China is also likely using commodities from their huge stockpiles instead of getting more at the current hugely inflated prices.
I think once prices for commodities go back down, after this Russia sanctions euphoria dies down, then China will resume purchases again.
