He doesn't. However, it is even more riskier now for him to park his money in the West. The West is going after every Russian oligarchs even though that don't have a strong tie with Kremlin. Li Kai Shing might not have good connection with Xi but he still has many friends in Zhongnanhai. I don't think he has a lot of choices but mostly Hong Kong and maybe middle east. The way things are going in the West. I don't know even renouncing citizenship would prevent them from being sanctioned if all hell broke loose.
There is no safe place for Eurasians in the West.

I don't think there are still many Cucumber Li's friends in Zhongnanhai by now. It'd be a political suicide for any politburo member who dares to speak for him.

On the other hand, CPC will not seize his business in mainland either. CPC will allow Li's business to continue but no more preference.

Many Russian Oligarchs are out of favor with Kremlin but still got their assets seized. The West is applying blanket seizing of assets from any wealthy Russians. These ultra-wealthy people need to get creative or none of them are safe.

Those ultra-wealthy Chinese might need to rethink if their monies and investment in the West are safe. If not, they would need to spend a fortune to move the money back to HK or China.

Saudi Arabia signed 35 economic cooperation agreements with China worth a total of $28 billion at a joint investment forum during the visit, the Saudi state news agency SPA said.
All resource countries are switching to the Yuan and abandoning the Dollar now.

Any evidence of this happening?
It's all over the news.

The Saudis seem to be figuring out putting all their eggs on the Western basket is dangerous. They are investing not just in China but India too. This will make Europe dangerously dependent on US oil.
Not just the Saudis, EVERYONE get the message now.
