Most of Western luxury goods are made in Asian sweat shops, yet Chinese go out of their way to go to the West to buy it and bring it back. Ridiculous.
A lot of these high quality French perfumes and LV handbags are still made exclusively in France or Europe. However, lower tier western brands like Coach and Michael Kors handbags are now made in South East Asia.

China and Japan Delivered Half of 2020’s Top 10 Box Office Hits for First Time Ever

Chinese hits “The Eight Hundred” and “My People, My Homeland” supplant battered Hollywood blockbusters as the two biggest ticket sellers worldwide.

The COVID-19 pandemic has warped the box office beyond recognition. In a year where Hollywood films like Marvel’s “Black Widow” and Warner Bros.’ “Wonder Woman 1984” were expected to be the top grossing films of the year, that honor will instead go to Huayi Bros.’ Chinese war film “The Eight Hundred” with $472 million in ticket sales worldwide.

Thanks in part the strong response to the virus in China and Japan, half of this year’s top 10 highest grossing films have come from the two major Asian markets, with local records still being set even as those countries battle new waves of coronavirus infections.

Yamal LNG project won't need a gas line. This is way up in the Arctic and a gas line may prove to be too long. Instead, Russia is building a fleet of special LNG carriers with ice breaking capability, with this large fleet being made in China, S. Korea and Russia under the SovComFlot enterprise. More of these ships are also being built for other liners such as COSCO and Japan's MOL. The ships are meant to go through the North East passage, which is the Bering Straits to the Arctic. The long term strategic implications of this would lead to a growing strength of Russia's Pacific Fleet and China's northern fleets to keep these lanes open. I made some posts about this on the Chinese Shipbuilding thread.

That is true to some extent but LNG can only serve cities or region with prebuilt gas pipeline like in major port cities or metropolitan like Shangai, Tianjin, or Guangzhou not the inland or industrial heartland Also they have to built regassification plant and port handling facilities But generally they are easier and faster to built say 2 or 3 years But the pipe line take much longer to built
