The audience at the Wuhan Qintai Grand Theatre in Wuhan, Hubei province, rewarded the amazing older dancers of the Wuhan Fanghua Ballet Troupe with thunderous applause on July 3 after a performance of The White Hair Girl.

More than 100 audience members presented flowers to the dancers, whose average age was 62.

Founded in 2018 by 67-year-old Wei Jinfeng and her husband, Zhang Weiwei, the troupe has grown to 68 members, most of whom are over 60. The eldest is 74.

The star-studded Tencent Music Entertainment Awards was held in Macao on July 8 and 9, bringing together singers and music groups, including the likes of JJ Lin, Jolin Tsai, Liu Shuang, and Zhang Liangying.

With the theme of "Music For Fun", the two-day event hosted four shows making it a music carnival for fans. The gala marks Tencent Music's effort to boost its original content and celebrate the industrial changes of the country.

Marking the 40th anniversary of legendary Hong Kong rock band, Beyond, a special section during the event saw Paul Wong, the band's guitarist and vocalist, performing some of its classic songs.

The event also awarded artists who have made contribution to the music industry, including top 10 hit songs, best female and male singers of the year and best rock band of the year.

On the first day of the event, singers Zhang Liangying and Yuan Yawei performed the late pop diva CoCo Lee's hit song, Thinking of You 365 Days, paying tribute to the singer who died on July 5.
