The flood control headquarters of Meizhou, Guangdong province, lowered the emergency response level from the top to the second highest at 11 am on Tuesday as river floods in the city continued to recede.
According to Meizhou Daily, floods resulting from torrential rains affected 30,165 people, tore down 108 houses in Meixian district alone, and damaged some farms, roads and bridges.
