The second Guozhuang dance contest (final) was held here on Friday. Twelve teams presented a cheerful audio-visual feast for the citizens and tourists. Latest achievements in urban rail technology are showcased at an exhibition in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province.

The 2024 International Metro Transit Exhibition & Forum (Beijing-Nanjing), running from June 13-15, has attracted over 500 domestic and overseas exhibitors.

The exhibition contains diversified themed areas, including science popularization, green and intelligent, industrial construction, as well as safety.

Suanye, a snack of pickled fruits and vegetables from the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, tickled the taste buds of foreigners with its unique sweet, sour, spicy and salty flavor at a promotional event in Beijing on Friday.

The dish is made of fruit and vegetables that have been saturated in vinegar and salt for about an hour. They are then mixed with various spicy or sour powders. Suanye is known for its thirst-quenching, refreshing and appetizing effects.

Guangxi's abundant natural mountain and water resources have nurtured more than 200 varieties of tropical fruits. The fruit production in Guangxi has ranked first in the country for six consecutive years. In 2024, the garden fruit production in Guangxi exceeded 33 million metric tons, with mangoes, dragon fruit, passion fruit and Shatian pomelo being the top in terms of production nationwide, said Cao Kedi, second-level inspector of the Department of Commerce of Guangxi, at the event.

Recently, artisans have been busy making colored glaze products at the national intangible cultural heritage production base in Houzeyao village of Jincheng city, Shanxi province.



The styles often appear in ancient buildings, such as palaces, tombs, monasteries, temples and pagodas. In 2008, the skills were listed as a national intangible cultural heritage.



In recent years, the village has organized villagers to establish 16 glass production factories via investment and partnership, to develop the traditional industry and ensure its inheritance.
