NEW YORK, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi and U.S. National Security Adviser Susan Rice agreed here Wednesday that the two sides will work closely and make full preparations to ensure the success of Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the United States in September.

Xi has put forward important proposals for further advancing a new type major-country relationship between the two nations in a recent phone conversation with his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama, Yang said.

Both sides should earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, respect each other's core interests and major concerns, actively explore pragmatic cooperation in various fields, properly handle differences and sensitive issues, among others, to further boost their ties in the new year, he added.

Rescuers arrive at the accident scene where a ferry capsized in Macao, south China, Feb. 27, 2015. A ferry carrying 19 people capsized Friday off China's Macao, and four people have been rescued, the customs said. The sunken ferry is a smuggling boat, with one captain, two sailors and 16 other stowaways on board, according to the customs. Zhang Qi, lives in Jingang county, Hubei province, China, who was locked up in an abandoned house by her parents since 2009 finally got rescued. She got pregnant without marriage and was forced abortion and broken up with her boyfriend. She then got serious mental problem. Her parents were afraid that she might affected her other brothers and sisters, they decided to lock her up in an abandoned house with only a small hole to look outside. Living in the house, she never take shower or see sun light. She lost the ability to walk or moving around. Neighbors reported to police once awhile but police said that it's their family affair and never care about that. However, many netizens had tried to post the case on social media to gain social concern. Many volunteers had reached the village and demanded the release of Zhang Qi. Under public pressure, Qi was finally got rescued by medical personnel and sent to hospital for medical treatment.
