I thought I would post these drawings painted in China by children with Autism. This topic relates to China but it holds interest for me since my oldest boy suffers from an autism spectrum and this art reminds me of the drawings he makes.

Art creations from autistic children in China
An exhibition featuring paintings created by autistic children is now being held at the School of Life Sciences at Peking University and will run through April 15. The exhibition is sponsored by Beijing Stars and Rain, a grassroots NGO providing rehabilitation education to autistic children. Sogou Pinyin, a popular software brand in China will also provides computer wallpaper made from the autistic children's paintings.

Terracotta Daughters sculptures, a work of art by French visual artist Prune Nourry, exhibited at Anahuacalli Museum on October 30, 2014 in Mexico city, Mexico. Nourry created 108 life-size sculptures, inspired by the familiar symbol of China's ancient Terracotta Soldiers. "In China, there is a huge imbalance between boys and girls. I wanted to highlight the issue of gender preference," said Nourry.

What's with the big police, or paramilitary?, presence. I don't recall similar police presence even in previous manned missions.

What you didn't see is the thing that hitched a ride back on the orbitor. Luckily the PAP has flame throwers. But I've already said too much...

A drunken fireman has been sacked by his bosses in China after going for a spin on a £500,000 fire engine wearing slippers and his pyjamas. Sozzled firefighter Chen Huangxin, 32, got behind the wheel of the state-of-the-art machine after a night of heavy boozing in Yunlin county. He ended up crashing the vehicle and causing extensive damage. When he was pulled from the wreckage he was found to be three times over the drink-drive limit and said: "I am sorry. I just wanted to see green fields and trees."

Today is the traditional Water Festival of Cambodia. The festival will take place for 3 days from the 5th to the 7th of November this year. Cambodia has canceled Water Festival for 3 years after the stamped at Kok Pich in 2010. In case anyone does not know about that horrible event, here is a link to the past thread http://www.sinodefenceforum.com/mem...stival-turns-tragic-deadly-stampede-5356.html

This is growing pains. The bigger the country and population, the more man-made disasters and tragedies corresponding to the state of development. Same for corruption that some people are fond of making an issue of.

Holy crap, she's 60????

Wow, I feel old now... She starred in one of my favorite movies ever, "Swordsman II". This just reminded me that the 90's were 20 years ago...

As John Lennon said in “Revolution 9”: “A little bit older and a little bit slower”
I agree! I hope I look half that good at 60
