What's the difference between an academic base research to a corporate research? Aren't they all done by scientist?

academic research studys and answers fundamental questions in science, sometimes for the sake of increasing understanding in a particular field, big companys will investment money in a particular subject with the intention of developing that technology into something practical, research whatever it is, is done by scientists

A fierce blaze engulfed a building near a bus stop in Gongzhufen, Haidian District in western Beijing, disrupting traffic in the region, fire fighters and witnesses said.
More than 15 fire trucks have been dispatched to fight the blaze
