i saw this crazy documentary about American black projects...it was so cool...its got this huge ball shaped spacecraft that floats in space. apparently it was like a command centre of some sort. and its also got these cool-looking fighter jets that have two pairs of wings with a laser gun on the tip of each. but the best of all, they have developed this new close combat weapon that shoots a light beam shaped like a sword. you can chop ppl's head off with no problem it was so WICKED

This is exactly how the anti-ship-ballistic-missile rumour started, a bunch of potheads doped before posting. And those read the posts are also potheads. Eventually this rumour turned into something that even the US DoD uses for budget grabbing.
I bet if we start talking about something reasonable, like a J18 or magnetic catapult, which we can claim that they already came into fruition, I believe it we try hard enough to spread it around, it will become the truth. Just wanted to update this thread in regards to my claim of earthquake machines (electromagnetic weapons that can remotely alter climate, trigger earthquakes (and apparently even volcanoes)). Here is a transcript on the U.S. Department of Defense's website which refers to such weapons.

The Department of Defence also believed in psychics, going as far as funding a psychic group to spy on the Soviets (Look up project stargate). Just because the government says they are testing something doesn't necessarily mean that "something" actually works.

This is true, but the quote does not say that they were testing it, it says, "Others are engaging {even} in." (took out "even" for clarity). This seems to imply that it is already happening.
As for psychics, please remember that our understanding of the world is not static (not implying psychics are real or unreal). There are things we do not yet know. I do recall an experiment where it was shown that humans could have some sort of negligible effect on future events, except the scientists conducting the experiment could not accept the results they were getting and attempted to modify the experiment so that they could get the results they wanted. I'll see if I can find it for you.
These electromagnetic weapons were developed by Nikola Tesla, the guy that basically built the 20th century with his inventions. (I think there's a reason they teach Edison in class, but rarely Tesla)

There's nothing to say that they're not used. Relations between countries have many layers. There is the layer we see in the media, and there is also a great deal of behind the scenes action...
It is entirely possible countries routinely engage in low level skirmishes with such weapons, but they do not let it get out of hand. This is just a conjecture.
The 2008 Sichuan Earthquake was certainly a deliberate attack. It was even timed to mock the Chinese lucky number 8. It occurred exactly 88 days before the Olympics. What are the chances?
